Good listening is essential to building trust, developing rapport, negotiating, problem-solving, and good management. However, in many ways, listening is the forgotten skill.
We spend years learning to communicate through reading, writing, and speaking, but most of us get very little formal instruction in listening. Ironically, listening is the skill that we use most frequently!
Getting the Message will give you an opportunity to assess your listening habits and develop your active listening skills. You will learn ways to avoid confusion, miscommunication and conflicts as you practice questioning, confirming, and mirroring. This interactive workshop will be stimulating, and the skills you learn will be useful every day.
